This Privacy Policy describes how ALG collects, uses, and discloses the Personal Information we collect about our users, including candidates for employment, recruiters, employers, and guests (collectively, “you”, “your”, or “user”), when you use www.philanthropycareer.net (the “Site”) and/or the services available through ALG (the “Services”).

By using the Site, or the Services, you consent to the information collection and use practices described in this Privacy Policy. Your use of our Site, or Services, and any dispute over privacy, is subject to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service, including its applicable limitations on damages, and disclaimer of warranties. Information We Collect Directly From Employee Candidates: As a candidate for employment, we may collect information from you when you register for or use our Site or Services including: name, email address, photograph, zip code, current or past employers, dates of employment and income information as well as other information that you submit as part of your profile or that may be useful in helping us to match you with job opportunities. We may also collect and store information about your use of the Site and Services, such as jobs you’ve applied to, jobs you’ve viewed, the resumes you’ve submitted, and similar information.

Information We Collect Directly From Employers (or Recruiters): As an employer or recruiter, we may collect information from you when you register for or use our Site or Services, including name, email address, photograph, zip code, company name, as well as other information that you submit as part of your profile or job posting that may be useful in helping us to match you with candidates for employment for your available jobs. We may also collect information such as your searches, clicks, views, and other actions taken on the Site.

Payment Information: If you make any payments through the Site, we will collect and store your credit card number and other payment information, which we will use only to process your payments.

Information We Collect From Other Sources: We may also collect information about you from other publicly available sources or third parties related to you such as former employers, colleagues, referenced, related organizations, organizational history, etc., which we may combine with the other Personal Information we have collected about you.

Information We Collect Automatically: We may also track your use of the Site through automated devices and applications, such as Google Analytics, to evaluate usage of our Site, administer our Site, analyze trends, track users' movement on our Site, and to gather broad demographic information for aggregate use in order for us to improve the Site and our Services.

How We Use Your Information

  • If you are a candidate for employment, to share with recruiters and employers. If you are a recruiter or employer, to share with candidates for employment.

  • To tailor the content and information that we may send or display to you, to offer location customization and personalized help and instructions, and to otherwise personalize your experiences while using the Site or Services.

  • To understand how users access and use our Site and Services, both on an aggregated and individualized basis, in order to improve our Site and Services and respond to user desires and preferences.

  • To personalize content and recommendations, and to send marketing and other promotional information, including information about jobs and other products and services in which we think you may be interested.

  • As necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements (including this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service), to protect or defend our rights, to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, and situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person.

  • Employee Candidate Information Disclosed: If you provide a resume or create a profile, your information will be made available to employers, recruiters, hiring managers, and companies seeking candidates for employment only with your permission. All employers, recruiters and hiring managers are believed by us to be legitimately seeking applicants for available positions, and are restricted by this Privacy Policy from sharing your Personal Information for purposes other than evaluating you as a candidate for employment; however, we are not liable for the actions of these recruiters or hiring managers and their use of your information is not subject to this Privacy Policy. Recruiters and hiring managers may share your profile information and/or resume with others in connection with their search for candidates for available positions.

  • Employer and Recruiter Information Disclosed: If you are an employer or recruiter, your Personal Information may be shared with candidates for employment. All candidates for employment are believed by us to be legitimately seeking job opportunities, and are restricted by this Privacy Policy from sharing your Personal Information for purposes other than evaluating whether to pursue employment with you or your organization; however, we are not liable for the actions of these candidates for employment and their use of your information is not subject to this Privacy Policy.

  • Service Providers: We may share Personal Information with our contractors and service providers who perform functions on our behalf. For example, we use third parties to provide credit card processing services, and we will disclose your credit card and billing information to such third parties so that they may process your payment on our behalf.

  • Legal Process: We may disclose the information we collect from you in order to comply with the law, a judicial proceeding, court order, or other legal process, such as in response to a subpoena.

  • To Protect Us and Others: We may disclose the information we collect from you where we believe it is necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person, violations of our Terms of Service or this Privacy Policy, or as evidence in litigation in which Company is involved.

  • Aggregate Information: We may share aggregate non-personally identifying information about users with third parties for marketing, advertising, research, or similar purposes.

  • Third Party Analytics: We use automated devices and applications, such as Google Analytics, to evaluate usage of our Site. We also may use other analytic means to evaluate our Services. We use these tools to help us improve our Services, performance, and user experiences. We do not share your personal information with these third parties.

Confidentiality

Employers and Recruiters: If you are seeking a candidate for employment, you are not permitted to share or publicly disclose any Personal Information regarding candidates, except within your organization solely for the purpose of evaluating a potential candidate for employment.

Employee Candidates: If you are a candidate for employment, you are not permitted to share or publicly disclose any Personal Information regarding any Employers, including but not limited to the fact that a particular Employer is hiring.

Security

ALG has implemented and follows reasonable security measures to protect against unauthorized access to and unlawful interception or processing of Personal Information. However, no data transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your Personal Information, we cannot ensure or warranty the security of any such Personal Information.

Third Party Websites

Our Site may contain links to other websites or mobile applications. Please note that when you click on one of these links, you are entering another website over which ALG has no control and will bear no responsibility. We encourage you to read the privacy statements on all such websites as their policies may differ from ours.
